The people who put out the short-term threats to their boundaries live to see another day.  The whole School Board is up for re-election next year, so no one can even say for sure there will be another county-wide review in 2030.

No, I meant what I said.  "Broad appeal" means appeal to a wider range of families based on the range of academic and extra-curricular offerings, which a smaller and less established school will be less likely to offer, especially in its initial years.

That's not to say Skyview won't also appeal to some people, but it's unlikely it will appeal to as many people as would continue to prefer their kids attend Oakton.    [/quote]
