However, after visiting a few elementary schools, we came to the conclusion that our local DCPS was a very good school by comparison. So we stayed. For middle school, we're trying out the charters. If they don't pan out, we may well end up in MoCo after all. My impression is that the average MCPS is much better than the average DCPS, but the best DCPSs give the best MCPSs a run for their money.
