OP, Look at the 🤡 above (👆) for an honest assessment of this soccer world. Prefers to argue linguistics more than the information given which is par for the course in this youth soccer world. This is why you can’t trust parents views on coaches and/clubs because people harbor vendetta’s for all kinds of silly reasons. I came here to say the new podcast dropped today was interesting. NYFC sent 9 kids from a single team to MLS club academies so it shows me all of our local clubs have work to do. He also admitted that he can’t admit to a kid their true level. I think this is something we all need to think about. I like the podcast because it “appears” they are two parents trying to navigate the process with no supplementary product to sell. I really like it now that a few DCUMers don’t like it because 95% of those on here are fixed-mindset, results-based, FOMO-laden characters straight out of White Lotus central casting. I really focus on doing the opposite of everything they are doing.
Blah blah blah said one 🤡 to another It's not linguistics when the PP is pointing out the podcasters you're naming are 2 of thousands saying nothing new nor original.
DP.... But it doesn't have to be new or original to ve informative. We all come to this thing with different experiences and knowledge. What is old news to some can be enlightening to someone else. I started down this travel soccer because my kid was scoring 5 or 6 goals a game in rec and the parent coach said he probably should be playing travel. I never have played one minute of soccer and never even really kicked around a soccer ball until he started playing . I came in knowing nothing about travel soccer. I thought paying 2k at the time and having professionally coaches was all that was needed to take him where he wanted to go soccerwise. I HAD no Clue. So any information is good info if youb dont know it regardless of source Even as crazy as this forum is there is good information here or there but nothing 'original' .
