We bought our kitchenaide 13 years ago.  The washer works great.  The rack quality is a different story.  The cheap plastic wheels continuously break.  Other than that, we have been satisfied.

I shudder at the idea of buying a replacement dishwasher.   The past 5 years there were so many environmental requirements added to appliances.  As a result, the quality of things like dishwashers is now crap and turned what should be a 15-20 year purchase into the appliance verson of temu fast fashion, wear once and throw away.

Enhanced environmental standards are pointless when turns what should be a 15 to 20 year purchase into crap products that end up in a landfill after 3-5 years because they are cheaper to replace than to repair.[/quote]
