Cannon Beach and the entire northern pacific coast beaches are dark and gloomy. Plus, they lack amenities and activities. Think: OBX but with bad weather. [/quote]

Not trolling, just stating facts.

Even google confirms that Cannon Beach (known as the best OR beach) isn’t ideal for swimming given the cold water year round and dangerous currents. The weather is notoriously cloudy. Sand is dark and the overall vibe is gloomy.

My experience is extensive travel up and down the pacific coast for last 5 decades.

But I know Dcumlandia likes to quickly point out that personal experience is merely data from one, so I’m boosting credibility by pointing out that google supports the statement by backing it up with facts.

PS - Anyone who has set foot on Cannon beach in June knows it has zero appeal unless you are the kind of person who enjoys wearing jeans and a bulky sweater to the beach while carrying an umbrella just in case it rains (which it will). [/quote]

Well, I also know tons of affluent West Coasters who own beach houses on the East Coast—not to mention the celebs.
