This is a gift that will bring a great deal of uncertainty into your marriage. You are emphatically NOT joint partners, and being still on the younger side, may think your in-laws are "nicer" than they are. Actions speak louder than words. We also received wedding gifts of cash, large sums --- in both our names. Those were the relatives who really wanted us to stay together. A good talk now with you DH is in order. I think those jealous posters who say, well, why look a gift horse in the mouth have never, and will never be in this position. Yes, it is a problem of the wealthy -- but wealthy people have problems, too. Best of luck with this.[/quote]
