It’s sad that a school with this much money and resources still cannot afford to give its students the opportunity to major in whatever they want
You know that many universities have majors that are similarly impacted, right? And that many top LACs, Amherst and Bowdoin come to mind, don't even offer a cognitive science major? My guess is that you do know this, but facts and logic have no bearing on your bizarre crusade against this particular liberal arts college.
$96,000 is a lot to spend on lotteries
$96k is a lot to spend on any college, most of which also have impacted programs. Pomona offers 48 different majors; cognitive science is just one of them. In other words, this is a both a very minor problem at Pomona and a common problem among all colleges. Yet you've written this post (and many others like it) for the purpose of showing that Pomona is especially flawed. It's rhetorical nonsense, and you know it. I don't know what your hang up is about Pomona, but it's seriously weird. Like, WTF-this-lady-genuinely-needs-therapy weird. (Same thing for the other weirdos on DCUM who anonymously bash particular schools.) Move on with your life. You'll feel better, and the world will be a better place for it.
Name another school with a cognitive science lottery then. It’s concerning a program this small can’t even get it together.
