We recently did this on a trip with my 5 year old. Hummus, pita chips, fruit, yogurt and a couple of other nibbles. He didn’t believe it was dinner. 😂
Every once in a while I do a dinner like this for my kids and we eat in the family room. It blows their minds. Last time we got Taco Bell and ate it on the floor in a tent in the family room while watching a movie. DH and I are super healthy and we eat as a family 7 nights a week, so maybe that's why it blew their minds. They also aren't allowed food in the family room either (other than occasional popcorn)
