Here is what will happen. FCPS will spend more money on attorneys to investigate, there will be no justice for the girls molested and no punishment for the boy who will be back in school to do it again.
At least one of the girls has retained counsel so it will be interesting to see if the school wants to settle with her.
FCPS will spend more on legal fees fighting the girls than they would spend by settling.
Settling what? FCPD responded to a call on March 5th, the alleged assailant was arrested on March 7th.
“In court records, the original offense dates are listed as Feb. 25, 2026, and Ortiz’s arrest date is listed as March 7, 2026. More than two weeks after the incidents were reported, Fairfax High School Principal Georgina Aye sent an email to parents on March 12.” If these dates are accurate, he assaulted 13 girls over two weeks. You honestly believe FCPS didn’t find out until 2 days before his arrest lol. The parents said they had been reporting this to the school all year.
Where do you see the parents saying this? I’ve seen it repeated here, but the parents who were interviewed about this terrible situation didn’t say it. If this is typical of the normal course of action in a school, they worked with the students to investigate and they reported the guy as soon as they confirmed it was him. We have confirmation that the school administrators are the ones who identified the perp, right? There have been a number of principals who lost their jobs or were charged for not reporting violence against sped students right away. They are now all very aware that you don’t play around with stuff like this. It just isn’t plausible that the school would know who was doing this without reporting it sooner. It is a better story for the news if they waited, but I’m not buying it.
