It’s funny.  Technology was supposed to free humans to pursue higher pursuits like humanities, arts, and research.  Now it turns out that AI is taking those roles, and relegating humans to manual labor.  And CEO’s call this progress.[/quote]

UBI won't be "figured out."  Musk loves to wax on about the coming age of technology prosperity and most people won't need to work.  But you saw his attitude toward non-billionaires when he was at DOGE.  He only had scorn for people on social security and retirement pensions and welfare and--heaven forbid!--a decent-paying government job.  If he doesn't think actual workers should make a middle class salary, do you think he envisions UBI as more than subsistence?
