This thread, like seemingly every other thread related to the idea that Israel should face accountability for its policies and actions (like every other nation) is being curated and heavily censored via the usual deranged Zionist suspects wielding the report button.
People can report whatever they want. Its the mod that has the delete button. The "dollar" stops there.
Cool, except it’s no mystery that careful moderation is extremely difficult when one particularly obsessive group seeks to drown out anything that is critical of their sacred cow. The moderator resorts to removing anything reported for the sake of expediency. The nutters and loons get their way in distorting the discussion. Everyone else loses.
Thats bullshit. Ive seen posts being deleted during dead hours when there were literally a half dozen posts in an entire Discussion area for 4 or 5 hours. This goes for other subjects outside of "Politics". These posts have been fairly tame, relatively speaking. The mod has a definite reason for censoring posts. Even though many posts were obviously replies from an American in response to dirty and nasty hate and racism from an Israeli. Of course this is the internet so as sure as can be based on reading 10,000s of articles and posts in the past 40 years.
It’s not bullshit, actually. In this case, the moderator has stated that there are times when he’s overwhelmed with reports. During such times, he may resort to locking the thread to create breathing room to sort things out, OR he may delete with a reduced level of discernment to avoid derailing the discussion. My paraphrasing, but obviously Jeff can also weigh in himself. Regardless, my understanding is that his policy is vulnerable to some level of distortion because obsessed participants who seek to silence through the report button can submit flurries of reports.
