This is exactly it. Nothing he has said is extremist. We should try to have housing for people. Child care is not affordable for most people. How can we make it better so people can have kids and also work and pay taxes? There are food deserts- let’s try something. None of this is insane. [/quote]

Is it my fault childcare is unaffordable? Start a daycare center. Take care of your own kids. I didn't force you to have kids! Why do you insist on making your problems everyone else's?

I hate to agree with this but I do. This country is the land of opportunity not the land of milk and honey. That means you have a chance to work for what you need and want, not that it's just given to you for arriving on our shores. Get a job. If you need more money, get a second job and then some training to get a better paying job. That's what I've done my whole life.[/quote]

It's becoming the land of scammers, ponzi scheme economies,  welfare state rewarding unemployment and poverty, mega wealth sponsored by the taxpayers, and middle classes that are farmed for their labor and taxes.  It's the trend where it's going.

The system where cost of benefits (like subsidized housing, healthcare, food) exceeds wages one can earn working full time is doomed to grow massive welfare class of people essentially living in the world of UBI, while the rest are working to in hopes of achieving these better paying opportunities burning themselves up in the process unable to sustain the profits for the top and the benefits for the bottom.

Mamdani paying fair wages to people to shovel snow, creating incomes and getting work done with the taxpayer dollars is a good thing.  Mamdani asking for the federal billions to build "affordable housing" (e.g. encouraging low income lottery moochers to live better than people working full time just to live, fraudsters and scammers and overpaid contractors) on the back of the taxpayers of the entire country is a terrible idea.
