Not afraid at all.  But he already has the job.  No need to relitigate the case just to appease a segment of faculty who won't be happy until Jim Ryan returns.  He was an outstanding choice for UVA President.  [/quote]

Beardsley is the result of a rushed, politically-motivated appointment; he's not a well-vetted candidate.
