I don’t understand being from here and not going to a “beach” socal school. USD, ucsd, ucsb, lmu, Pepperdine. Maybe ucla. Why go to usc or to one of the Claremont colleges? Just to be in ca?
Crazy take!
USC is only 15 miles from the beach. But you have a point about Claremont - that's a difficult drive out of LA (I'm from there and drove that lat month so don't try to tell me it's an easy drive from LAX, it's horrible).
Bruh. In LA, 15 miles can take 2 hours!
True! I'm from there. I keep telling people but they don't believe me and chatter on about the Claremont colleges bragging you can ski in the morning and surf in the afternoon (sure, in the 70s). The traffic is so awful that I won't go back anymore.
Where isn't the traffic awful? Any metropolitan in US?
Ironically near Claremont Colleges . Going to LAX or the beach isn't a daily, weekly, or even monthly thing right? then reject Caltech with the same logic - it's not close to the beach, LAX, and the bad traffic. Yes - a school like UCSB, Pepperdine, or UCSD is an awesome 4 years. True beach schools - ones where kids do at the end of the day hangout at the beach. It's a perk not the main reason. U of Hawaii might be better if that's an important part of college.
