This is a little like right wing shitheel Christopher Rufo passing himself off as a Harvard grad when he only went to the extension school. https://thenationaldesk.com/news/americas-news-now/harvard-prof-walks-back-criticism-of-extension-school-degrees-this-still-isnt-an-apology-jennifer-hochschild-christopher-rufo-claudine-gay-corey-deangelis-university-cambridge-massachusetts
That dude got a masters degree from Harvard Extension. I dunno, aren’t most masters degrees even at top 5 pay to play anyway? He went to Gtown as an undergrad. I don’t believe he would have trouble getting a masters degree at a top 5 if he’s willing to pay. Ask me how I know!
Yup, Ivy pay to play degrees are common for masters. They are less common for doctorates. Beardsley's resume says "doctorate in Higher Education Management" but who's supposed to know that it's a 2 year program unless they google? Even then it's confusing b/c Penn has an Ed.D. that's not the executive program, as well as a Ph.D. (terminal) degree. People getting these degrees should be transparent about what they are, his resume/vitae should say "Executive Doctorate" or "Executive Ed.D." and better yet, the years that he was there, 2015-2017. Then people can make the judgment call on what to do with that information. Without that information, the degrees are benefiting from ppl's ignorance about what's actually behind them. This is less worrisome say if it's a community college president, but this is an elite, T25 PUBLIC research university that's part of the AAU. It's a different scene...
