I'm no fan of Trump and the corruption he enables, especially of the little Republican princelings (see, e.g., crytpo pump-and-dump scams they run), but Trump's right on this. Olympic athletes who dive into politics are engaging in divisive behavior. It's their right, but complaining about the backlash is childish. In particular, the skiing community has exposed the pernicious effects of limousine liberalism. Lindsay Vonn just destroyed her leg because she was too vain to retire when her body failed. Mikaela Shiffrin made naive comments about a life from which she has been completely insulated. And now this clown offers useless commentary because he can ski well. It's not hard: Just wave the flag, smile, and compete. No one wants to hear your half-baked thoughts on anything.
He was literally responding to a question from a reporter about the current political situation in the US. Obviously some people do want to hear his thoughts because they asked him! Ok the other hand, no one asked you what you think so you should probably stay quiet
Reporters are known liars. Every single time I've personally witnessed events that have been reported broadly, the reporters flat out lied. Anyone naive enough to trust a reporter should be disenfranchised.
What are you smoking? What did the reporter lie about? The question and answer were at a recorded press conference. You sound nuts.
I don't know what that reporter has lied about, but reporters are notoriously dishonest. Reporters are so bad they've lied about Trump. Remember when they falsely reported that Trump took a certain bust out of the Oval Office? Remember when the WaPo reporter got in trouble for posting out-of-context pictures of a Trump rally and lying about it? Heck, do you remember when the NYT got busted for reporting that Trump had hidden an EPA report when the draft of that same report was already publicly available? If you can't remember many examples of reporters lying (GM fuel tanks, if you're older), then you're not committed to the truth. Yes, Trump lies. That doesn't relieve reporters of their lies. They're all bad.
