The only other options are a tech focused program and an impossible Unicorn?  I just want the teachers to get to know their students, not just the high need and discipline students, but also the ones quietly falling behind. [/quote]

We certainly try. But the reality is we have approximately 2 minutes per student during a class period. I circle the room during work time and I try to visit each desk, but there are days I can’t, especially in my larger classes. I need to rely on classroom visits before school and after school if I need more time than that with a student.
