What is vandy like for an Asian kid on a Pell grant
The Asian kids on Reddit who end up at Vanderbilt because of prestige are often unhappy. It's a common transfer demographic--search the transfer board and you'll see. Vandy is a rich white person's school.
Vandy is 39 percent white.
Wow. Are there any top 20s that are majority white?
Vandy is simply a diverse school - 39.5 white 18.8 asian/pacific islander 11.5 black 11.1 hispanic 8.8 international 5.7 two or more 4.1 unknown I don't think any top 20 is majority white. Except Notre Dame, mostly due to there being few Asian or black Catholics.
This excuse again. Check out the demographics for USF, USD, Seattle University, St. John’s and Loyola Marymount
How is this an excuse? Have you even visited Notre Dame? Not the same vibe as the majority Jesuit schools you list above. MUCH more Catholic and harder to attract non-Catholic students, if they even want more non-Catholics. My Catholic student, attending a Jesuit high school, crossed ND off the list off the list as feeling too conservative and a little cultish.
