Under the proposal, will all Wootton kids - even juniors and seniors - move to the Crown location for the 2027-28 school year? I know the general idea is not to change boundaries for juniors and seniors, but I'm not sure if a change in building is the same thing? It seems silly to move only the freshmen and sophomores since that would make it harder to fill classes, form sports teams, etc., so hoping that's not the plan!
Oh. I hadn’t thought of that but yes, you are probably right. The upperclassmen from Wootton will move. I don’t think the upperclassmen from the other handful of feeders will move, though, since their schools will still be open. I think Taylor really wanted to use Crown as a permanent holding school as his first choice but it appears that that was not legally allowed. So even though there is a lot of dissent from Wootton (props to their advocacy) it really is fiscally irresponsible to run an entire 27th additional high school and have all the others underutilized.
