Wednesday is early release. Hoping they just close school the entire week.
. Why? Don't you want your kids to get an education? Haven't they had enough time off?
DP 1. If it is slippery out there, I'd rather my children be at home than at a bus stop or walking to school. Drivers in this area are dangerous in slippery conditions. 2. Snow days are a fun part of childhood, and there is lots of learning that takes place while playing in/enjoying the snow. 3. On snow days, when not outside, my kids are usually cuddled up on the couch or in their beds, reading. They are learning while reading, as well. We have "no device days" on snow days, so they play games, read, build Legos, play outside, bake, etc. While I of course want my children in school when it's safe, I also value these days during which they can have fun and can experience some of the joys of childhood.
