Whomever told her to wear that white pantsuit should be fired. It added about 15 pounds to her frame in the pictures. And white is not a flattering color in her.
White is what suffragettes wore. As the first woman elected to be the governor, it was an intentional and symbolic move. Also, I’m guessing that she has more important things to worry about than how heavy she did/didn’t look as she was about to take on the highest elected position in the state.
Yes I figured that it was something performative like that. Still a mistake. She needs to pay more attention to how she looks. She’s not in little district of VA anymore.
Were you this outraged at Youngkin’s silly vests? I don’t care what color her suits are. At least she’s wearing professional attire.
Completely agree that Youngkins vests looked ridiculous. They were part of his attempt to look like the dad next door. The difference is, Gov Abigail is an objectively attractive woman, which of course she can use to her advantage. Part of that is taking the time to develop a flattering personal style that will photograph well. White is a terrible color on her. With her skin tone and hair color, it makes her look washed out. And the picture on the front page of the Post today is terrible. She looks 10 pounds heavier than she is IRL. She should take some lessons from Nancy Pelosi in this.
At least it wasn't a tan suit, but white after Labor Day? I almost had the vapors.
Good point. As noted she needs a better stylist.
