Apparently their dynamic was that Tori was a Daddy's girl, the ultimate Hollywood princess, and Tori and Candy had that toxic but not unheard of mother/daughter dynamic where Candy was jealous of Tori and her relationship with her father. Aaron probably didn't really catch onto this and assumed Candy loved her daughter and would be fair, but Candy all of a sudden had a ton of leverage she hadn't had once he died and probably enjoyed being vindictive. It's a little poor little rich girl but they kind of raised a monster that way and then Candy tore the rug out from under her when she was obviously totally ill equipped to go it on her own.[/quote]
