Do some of you folks even hear yourselves?[/quote] +1 This is what happens in districts that use blunt instruments like the CogAT or NNAT to sort the gifted from the regular kids. Those tests are beatable with coaching, which MANY parents do, openly or in secret. As a result you have "gifted" classes with smart kids who are not gifted, but have insecure anxious parents and a whole stack of prep books in their cabinet.[/quote]
