The big (and also cheap!) tub of cerave cream is the best moisturizer out there for sensitive skin.
+1 And keep the routine simple. No toner, vit c, etc.
Vitamin C is a skincare essential. Any med student on their dermatology rotation will tell you as much. The trick is to finding a Vitamin C that works for sensitive skin, of which there are many. Toner is not essential.
+1 As said above if you heal your skin, you can use vitamin vitamin C with no issue. Reactive skin is due to harsh products being used on it over time.
I don’t agree. I have healthy albeit sensitive skin. No skin barrier issues and I follow a simple routine with only gentle wash and lotion (both vanicream). Whenever I try to use a Vit C serum (every so often I retry, and I use ones considered gentle), my skin stings and burns like crazy.
You can disagree all you want but the fact of the matter is, it is essential to a solid skincare routine. Just because you're sensitive does not mean most dermatologists do not highly recommend it.
