unless you have a magnet kid who rides the bus, this is hard to understand. early in the morning, all parents dropping off kids wait in the bus lane.
I’m not understanding. Why are parents in the bus lane? Don’t you just drop your kid and go?
Early in the morning the school lot is empty so people just pull into the bus lane. No, most parents wait until bus shows and it gets cold in the morning
I still don’t get it. So parents are getting to school and sitting in the bus lane- with their kid in the car, and just waiting for the bus to pull up? Because why? Why wouldn’t your kid just get out when you get there and wait outside the school like a normal kid or go in if the doors are open. And then what is happening after school? OP is again blocking the bus lane and sitting there waiting for her kid to get out of school? That’s weird. There’s a parking lot- it’s practically the same location. Or your kid can actually just ride the bus.
This is OP posting again after my last post saying I went to the parking lot the day it rained. The other responses were not from me. In my case, my kid is in a magnet and we go to the ES before that school starts early in the morning to catch the bus. Whoever gets there early stays in the bus lane leaving space for the two buses that come and kids get on only at that spot. Any car that comes after goes to the parking lot and parks or idles. Anyways, now I moved to the parking lot but the rest of the cars still stay in the bus lane. Their kids get out and walk back towards the bus on the sidewalk.
