They target roughly 1,000 new agent hires annually to keep up with normal retirement attrition. To get to that number they need 27,000+ to apply each year. Between the interviews, exams and physical fitness test they weed out a lot of applicants. The polygraph and background investigation weed out the rest.[/quote]
