No one wants the arrest report or the kid's name. But it damn well impacts my kids if the police show up on campus and arrest a student in front of others. Giving parents a heads up is the right thing to do so they can explain and support the feelings, probably of fear, that come with that.[/quote]

Curiosity is strong among all of us posting.  That is a normal reaction.  However, it does not mean you have a need to know.  
I was a teacher, I cannot tell you how many times parents would try to get information about other kids--basically, phishing.
No professional in a school should share information that is private.

As for the arrest--if it was.  It could be any number of things.  And, it could, or could not involve other students.  If it does not involve your child, it likely is private and cannot be shared.  If your child is in danger, they would tell you.

But, of course it is normal to be curious.  I'd like to know, as well.[/quote]
