No, you give them a little food to hold them over for a short time and a path out of poverty. You don't make them reliant of the government forever so their lives never improve like he Democrats do, all for votes. Democrats continue to hurt these people but making them more and more dependent on them. It is disgusting.[/quote]

If an employer is taking that kind of a substantial chunk out of someone's life, they should have to pay a livable wage.  If the employer thinks "they aren't worth paying that much" then it's not actually the employee's problem, it's the employer's problem because their flawed business model is exploitative, doesn't charge enough / can't make enough, and depends on underpaying labor.[/quote]
