Seems a little silly to pick on her. She’s been very open about having a lot of health issues that no doubt affected her looks. Cushing syndrome can be brutal, and she had a really puffy swollen face for a while because of it. Her endometriosis caused her to get a hysterectomy in her late 30s. I know that that can wreak havoc as well. She’s been honest about trying Ozempic and having a bad reaction and stopping it. It seems like she has found something that works for her which she has been honest about as she does some of the advertising for one of the telehealth platforms that she says she gets her hormone therapy and weight loss meds from. I I admire her honesty about all this, and we are certainly not owed any of it as it’s none of our business. Also, celebs wipe their Instagram’s all the time for various reasons. Seems weird that the press just decided she wanted to get rid of fat pics.
I don’t think it is picking on her, I think it is legitimate to ask why she is erasing her past self. IMO it is pretty insulting to anyone who is fat or overweight to imply that once you become skinny, you can just erase that prior, “unacceptable” version of yourself from the record. Maybe she was unhappy while she weighed more (she had a lot of health issues that were surely a drag on her mentally and physically), but I really would hope to see her honor that part of her life and journey or at least not X it out.
OK, but you haven’t answered the fact that skinny actresses and musicians do this all the time and no one cares or says a word. So if you’re overweight and you wipe your insta you’re trying to erase your past self but if you do it when you’re skinny, you can have other legit reasons? That is picking on her for her weight.
OK, It is also bizarre when someone skinny does it. Does that help?
[b]The point is we don’t pick it apart though do we? There’s not immediate articles all over about it.[b] But as soon as Amy does it it’s because she is suddenly skinny and wants to wipe out her fat pics. It doesn’t make any sense, especially since her brand is being very relatable, and baring it all. Her weight in an industry that values thinness, her endo, her difficult pregnancy, her marriage to someone on the spectrum, her Dad with MS…. It doesn’t really track that all of a sudden she is switching her whole brand and think she can convince everyone that she was never heavier. It’s really unlikely that she’s trying to do that and it’s just such a stupid media spin. She probably just felt like doing it as many other celebrities before her have.
There are, indeed, immediate articles when other celebrities wipe their social media. It is also simply factual to state that Amy posted about her new appearance and then shortly after, deleted her social media history. Are you suggesting that there is no chance that those activities are connected in any way? Finally, of course it doesn’t track that she is trying to “convince everyone that she was never heavier.” That’s ridiculous. But As you point out, she’s always been open, so of course people will wonder why she is wiping that all away.
Most celebs wipe their social media when they are in the midst of a break up, breakdown, or controversy.
