Here are the others campaigning for the seat: Micah Lasher, 43, a state assemblyman and Nadler protégé from the West Side Alex Bores, 35, a state assemblyman from the East Side Jami Floyd, 61, a veteran journalist and lawyer Alan Pardee, 58, a former financial executive Erik Bottcher, 46, a West Side City Council member Liam Elkind, a 26-year-old nonprofit founder, announced his campaign before Mr. Nadler said he would retire.
Elkind allegedly changed his address to Lasher's assembly district and will probably run for that seat. Had not heard that Floyd was making a run for the seat. Perhaps that's why she has not been on WNYC for the last few years or so. Pardee doesn't have much of a track record in a crowded field. Bores is nice but limited policy experience. Bottcher and Lasher fairly comparable though Lasher worked in Albany as Bloomberg's LD when mayor and Hochul's policy director. My bets on Lasher.
