With headcount freezes, layoffs, oppressed wages and outsourcing, is there anything left for our children?
What about grandchildren? Are you not worried about them?
I think kids today should seriously be thinking about not procreating.
Insane. Literally insane
Have you read Ender’s Game? That’s our grandkids’ future.
Sorry, meant Ready Player One. Getting my apocalyptic novels confused.
I have, actually. And you’re being an hyper-anxious ninny. Put your concerns in historical and global context. Americans today live in what is objectively the best, safest, and most pleasant time to be alive in the history of humanity. Are there future risks? Sure. But there are ALWAYS future risks. As Men in Black so eloquently stated, “There’s always an Arquillian Battle Cruiser, a Corillian Death Ray, or an intergalactic plague that is about to wipe out all life on this miserable little planet….” We’ve got it historically good. Our kids will have it historically good. Will there be challenges? Of course, but humans are tough and resilient. Life is a joy and a privilege, even with (and sometimes bc of) those challenges. Stop being so afraid of tomorrow. No way to lead life.
