Here is best advice I ever got to single women from blue collar or middle class backgrounds and a college degree with an average job. Pick your horse and ride it. Meaning you can't marry super rich or a blue blood family. You dont have the pedigree or fancy degree or big job. But you can pick a horse to ride in the race and ride him to victory. My old job in Big four girls from local colleges around 27-30 with parents who were like cops, firemen, consturction workers who was first gen college whould grab a guy who was manager on track for senior manager than hopefully Partner or someone they met at client who was on track. Usually a guy with there background but a go getter with better career prospects. Then you ride him to winners circle. If you were already rich you would pick the horse that already won the race.
Yeah good luck with that. Maybe 15% make it with that background.
And those who does, don’t want to marry staff 2s making 85k/year 😂
Yes they do. My friend who actually was a big four partner when single only wanted to marry a SAHM wife. It drove some women nuts that he would have such a rule. They are always working and want kids. My buddy waited till 43 to marry and wanted three kids back to back to back. Wanted to buy a house. Wanted to move to surburbs. Have a big Catholic Wedding with a big fancy receptions. He had zero time for any of that. He married a younger women with zero career who was very pretty who stopped working the day they got engaged so she could plan wedding, do house hunting. Get ready to be a mom and have kids. His Dad was a big executive so he also had money from inheritance coming his way. He need a wife. No more money.
such ladies flock to art dealers, event planning and museum work, they don’t interview for big 4 entry level jobs. Big 4 young women often come from state schools, had stable upbringing but don’t have the same social skill as someone from money. The partner may choose them for a fling when traveling but he will marry someone who can fit his goals, like catholic or lots of siblings where she took care of babies.
That is why they have to leave early. They are like milk on the shelf when youth and looks are your calling card. My boss was a women who was a Big Four Partner and left to be a CFO then returned as a senior Big Four Partner. We had lunch a few times and she was around 55 at time said when she was 24-49 most of the other women quit and married guys who became Partner or married guys they met at clients and spent the last 25 year of life, playing tennis at country club, having kids, hanging out by pool in their big houses while their hubbies worked like dogs. She was like I am the one working like a Dog at 55 and she never had kids. She always said I made it to the top but was it worth it.
Most of the senior manager men at 2015 are still stuck at director level somewhere, comfortable but no golf club membership for sure. I am sure their wives can take a mommy track job but not full on royalty lifestyle. You are over marketing a bit 😁
