An A can be had with haphazardly turning in homework and doing a decent job on quizzes and tests. A kid breezing through a class does not mean that they have good work habits. It could mean that they are in the wrong level of a class, maybe they should be in honors or AP/IB, but it doesn't automatically mean that they are making their best effort. And your kid could be getting an A and then distracting other kids, which would be an issue. [/quote]
