A 3.7 in a MD public school where 50%+ have a 4.0 is below average. At our MA private, 3.7 puts you in the top third of a very competitive class (all were straight A students plus rigorous essay/EC vetting in middle school just to get admitted into HS). No grade inflation, retakes or rounding up. [/quote]
