My child applied to Brown ED and the school wants First term grade report within the first 2 weeks of November from the Counselor. Is the admissions committee expecting to see all A grades?. How will they view B+ on the Senior Q1 progress report?
Won't be a problem at our private. Kids in 3.8 range get accepted to Brown. One B or two in the first term senior would kill it as it's consistent with the trend.
Only the straight A highest test scores at our school. But, like most schools, only 0-2 a year get accepted. I think our entire county between 4 high schools only had 1. It’s a high reach for everyone.
Agree it's different between high schools. Having grade deflation can actually be good for kids' mental health. They work hard and do their best. No one is fussing over a couple B+.
