I can understand that people who are out of work right now are anxious about their expenses, but all these threads about food prices are overly dramatic. Yes there is inflation, but for the moment it's quite contained. People who are struggling with food prices now are operating on exceptionally tight budgets.
DH and I both have jobs and can’t help but notice how much food prices, along with everything else, have gone up. I don’t know why people are justifying the increased prices or saying to do without. The prices are increased due to government policies such as tariffs. It’s reality, and it’s annoying.
Then donate more to your cause. What’s really annoying is people like you who express fake outrage on every post without doing anything about it. And, no, don’t even try to”we give $xxxx” crap.
The issue is that individual donations can't come close to closing the gap, especially when the donors themselves are getting squeezed on prices. Relying on individual donations to overcome inflation and the ginormous cuts to food aid is impossible.
