Arlington link https://arlingtonsoccer.com/programs/travel/age-group-transition
Arlington has proactively had individual discussions with families of current trapped players about this year’s placement and next year’s expected placement after the SY transition. Silence from other clubs. I think the hardest decisions are kids who fall after 8/1 but would be playing “down” a graduation year.
As a club you'd never do this because it would screw the player up when it comes to recruiting. If they cant make the A team they'd be put on the B team with players their grade.
This doesn’t screw up recruiting. A competent club gets their players committed. You are all so easily tricked.
Put yourself in a college coaches shoes and remember that most programs have 100s of players reaching out to play on their team. Would you choose players playing on teams that are their grade in school? or Would you choose players playing on teams that are a grade down from their grade in school? The problem with playing down a grade is their ability to play against players their grade and older in college comes into question.
I would take the best players that write me e-mails and would watch the players that write me emails.
So you're saying the players playing down a grade would be instantly discounted because they're playing at a lower level than players that are playing with their grade in school. Yes this is exactly what I said would happen.
I disagree with you. We have current examples in DD’s club that disprove what you’re saying.
Considering that this isnt possible under BY I'm just going to assume that youre lieing.
