Two things: 
1. He was only the number 1 most streamed artist globally for 3 years, beaten only by Taylor Swift in 2024 (he has over 100 billion streams). He has 51m youtube subscribers and 35m TikTok followers. So i think a lot of people know who he is and

I’m not talking about TikTok or YouTube subscribers. I’m talking about everyday people.  If I ask any of my elderly relatives, they will tell you they know who Taylor Swift is.  Many will likely not recognize the name Bad Bunny. That’s all I’m saying. This is why you aren’t hearing more people talk about this right now. [/quote]

This is my experience the last few days on Facebook, where middle aged and older folks are screaming about Bad Bunny hating America and not singing in English. Undoubtably most of them don’t understand the English lyrics of most popular music stars in general or who have performed the halftime show at the SB, but whatsoever this guy is brown, wears dresses, isn’t a real American, and won’t sing in English so they hate him because Fox and other right wing media told them to.

It’s ridiculous. Honestly I never knew who he was I’m middle aged and out of the loop but I’ve been watching his music videos and I’m excited to see what he does in the show. I don’t watch NFL but I will watch the halftime show probably later online.[/quote]

Politically moderate here and don’t really care about the Super Bowl.

My social media feed is empty of references to Bad Bunny. I’m guessing 1/3 my feed is right leaning or MAGA and none have posted. I’m guessing most people don’t care.
