No. "Escorts"? Basically, he paid for a prostitute. I find men who do that skeevy. Just because you paid more doesn't make you any better than the loser who is driving around the street looking for a $10 hooker.
These is no such thing as free sex. Every man is paying for sex one way or another. All men invest time, money, and effort in dates, gifts, and entertainment with the expectation of getting laid. Paying an escort is just a more direct way to get to the same result.
To the OP, no, and this PP's attitude is why I wouldn't. Men who think women are things that can be purchased have an underlying misogynistic mindset that will seep into every aspect of your life. Even if they separate women into categories (Madonna/whore) they still think they're things and that men are paying for all of them, just with different currency. Like PP seeing every second of time you spend thinking about or hanging out with a woman as some kind of personal expense in a transaction that she now owes you payment for. Gross mindset, gross person, not going to be a healthy relationship.
I'm the OP, and I think I agree with you. FWIW I personally am not considering dating someone like this, but I saw a post on reddit that inspired it. Many men on there (and apparently on here) view sex and relationships as transactions, so they are fine paying women to have sex with them and don't consider it negative, even if they would apparently never tell anyone (so clearly it's still shameful enough to keep it a secret). I know one person in my DHs wide (WIDE) circle that tells people he has seen prostitutes. All of the other men were so grossed out and have 99% dropped him from the group. I'm sure that wasn't the single and only reason they dropped him, but I think they just got tired of hearing him discuss women like that.
