I’m appalled by these grifters, but what law did she break? I don’t think what she’s done is illegal. Her grandfather, as a federal employee, probably violated a federal ethics regulation, but that’s small potatoes for that felon.[/quote]

1. Section 5 of the FTC Act prohibits unfair or deceptive acts and the Made in USA Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 323). so if she is labeling her stuff made in the USA and it isn't that's illegal.

2. A private company generally cannot use US government symbols, logos, or names in advertising because it implies government endorsement, which is illegal and often also violates trademark laws and federal regulations. 18 U.S. Code § 713.
