This is my hunch as well I think. I’m from NC and UNC didn’t appeal to my high achiever. I view UVA the same, fantastic public but won’t appeal to everyone. I think it gets heat as many on here really pump it up to the extreme. [/quote]

For sure on Michigan, didn’t know about Penn State. This is actually a positive to UNC for me. The triangle having NC State, UNC and Duke creates a nice spirited vibe but not nearly the degree of pompous. Much more laidback in a good day.[/quote]
