The tragic nature of the event should not have resulted in a financial crisis for the mother, and there should be no need for fundraising in connection with the event.  The child presumably contributed no income to the family which has now stopped.  Final expenses can be managed so as to be minimized, and ion any case should be within the means of anyone with even a modest emergency fund.  [/quote]
I am a bad person probably, but these are also my sentiments for these things. (Go fund Mes for events that do not result in any kind of financial hit). Cards? Flowers? Meals? Prayers? Of course. But why send 100 dollars? To make up for their lost child? It’s crass and would make me uncomfortable [/quote]
