Speak from the “I” — “I can’t afford that” covers a lot.[/quote] BS- saying "I can't afford it" to children sounds like a personal failure, which is completely false vs. saying Dad isn't paying his portion is exactly accurate. Mom doesn't have to cover up for Dad's sins. If Mom died, kids would see very quickly that Dad was with mistress and wants to spend on her and not them.[/quote]
