And yet, every 'empty nester' I know here in DC has their kids moving back in after college for at least a couple years. So- having your first born off to college is hardly becoming an empty nester. I have a college sophomore and a HS freshman. My freshman won't be done with college for 8 years and then probably back home for a year or two after. That's a decade. 2035 is a long way off.
