You haven’t answered the question. [/quote] Maybe for some of the people on this board it doesn’t benefit them “directly” but they like the change anyway. It goes the other way all the time. There are plenty of dems on this board who post things like “if the dems get elected I will have to pay higher taxes, but I want them to be elected anyway.” So dems also want things to happen that don’t benefit them “directly,” particularly wealthy ones who won’t benefit from all the free stuff dems want to hand out. [/quote] That’s not an apt comparison. The voting against own interests Dem directly affects them. Also, it’s one thing to vote against your own financial interests (on either side) while it’s another to vote for racism and sexism. [/quote]
