There are no educational benefits to living in DC for doughnut hole families.” [/quote] Doughnut hole is when you make too much money to qualify for financial aid but not enough to pay for college outright. Usually people in high cost of living areas. A lot of schools - Duke was really good about this- have upped financial aid for families with HHI in the 200s in HCOL areas because they were missing out on essentially middle class kids, but it’s not every school[/quote]
