Say you have a mild illness - coughing and congestion. Feel fine to work but obviously don’t want to be in an office setting. Fed and no telework allowed since Trump. Just take sick leave for a week until the cough clears??
Lol. A week for a cough?
New poster here. I had pneumonia in my early 20s and a stretch where I had about 6 cases of bronchitis in 5 years. These days (40s) I often need an inhaler for chest colds as I start wheezing. At that point I’d be thrilled if my cough only lasted a week. I’m in a job where I can telework, but when I was younger and wasn’t and had a cough my supervisor told me to go home. I told her I didn’t have any sick leave (I had only been there a few months and had only earned a few hours of leave). It’s hard!
