It started as a response to the great financial crisis which showed how untrustworthy government and the banking system was at safeguarding our economic wellbeing, it was supposed to simply be a decentralized monetary system that restored power to the people. But as the left becomes more authoritarian it naturally dislikes things like this. [/quote]
