Yes, and they're massive hypocrites. The minute they get unfair treatment anywhere (at the grocery store, their kid's school, anywhere at all), they come on here to create whiny poor-me threads. But they absolutely LOVE to dump on others for doing the same. Rules for thee but not for me.

I'd be annoyed, sure - but really mostly annoyed at myself.  This is all really self-imposed and I don't see it as unfair.  Could the officer given more leeway?  Sure. But on the other hand - how much longer does OP need to do emissions and registration?  Another month, 2 months - 6 months... really, where does it end?  This is all on them and there should be no complaints or blame other than to themselves.[/quote]

Yup. You'd complain. Don't deny it. And the "where does it end?" is used by people to enact stringent punishments for minor crimes. If you're OK with that, don't start whining when they apply to you. I find that the most raucously punitive people are usually the first to complain when they get trapped in their own machine.
