This is why billionaires should not exist. Simply by amassing that level of wealth you have proven to society that you're not fit to have it, because if you were you would have given it away or stopped hoarding already. [/quote]

It's not about jealousy.

Imagine, you find yourself stranded on an island with a group of people. You have plenty of supplies to last everyone until you get rescued. Most people would share the supplies according to need.

How would you react if a couple of people decide they are entitled to hoard most of the supplies, forcing everyone to work and perform favors for them in order to get their basic needs met. The hoarders don't work, they don't help the group at all, other than ordering people around, and doling out resources according to their preferences, using violence to impose their will. You'd most likely call these people antisocial sociopaths.

This is what extreme wealth hoarders are doing to human society. We are all stuck on this planet together. There's plenty to go around. But a small percentage of people hoard the resources, and control society, while contributing very little actual value, imposing their control through different kinds of violence. For example, allowing citizens to become homeless or starve if they aren't able to work. Denying people needed medical care unless they sell their labor.

These people are antisocial, as in they are bad for society, and they are sociopathic in that they have the ability to end the suffering of others yet choose to hoard resources and live in extreme luxury instead, using the state to impose a monopoly on violence in order to protect private property.

It goes beyond jealousy. This planet and it's resources belong to us all. No individual should be allowed to monopolize what belongs to us all. No individual should have so much influence over society. No individual should live in extreme luxury while other go without basic necessities. It's wrong. And it saddens me that you can't see that. That you don't want to leave a better world for the next generations. That you are willing to look the other way as these people destroy the one planet we have because money and power have twisted their minds into something monstrous. [/quote]
